Woodland Auto Body is proud to be a locally owned and operated business serving the community of East Hartford and surrounding regions.
Founded in 1924, Woodland Auto Body was originally a truck painting business established by Albert Redmer under the name Woodland Truck Painting Company. Over this time, Woodland was the preeminent oil truck painting facility for the majority of oil delivery trucks in the Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts areas.
Solon L. Weiner purchased Woodland in 1952 and changed the name to Woodland Auto Body. While most of the business was still dedicated to truck painting, Woodland began to repair automobiles as well. When the oil embargo hit in 1973, Woodland began shifting its business to focus on auto repairs and refinishing. Since 1985, Woodland Auto Body has been a premier body repair facility for all makes and models of foreign and domestic cars and light trucks.
Howard N. Weiner joined Woodland Auto Body in 1977 after a career as the assistant Dean of Admissions at Connecticut College in New London. He is the current President of Woodland Auto Body, where he continues the family tradition of delivering the best auto repair service in the region.
